Why Design for Recovery?
Recovery involves more than staying away from substances. It also means learning how to make decisions, handle responsibilities, and respond to challenges differently.
At Design for Recovery, residents have the opportunity to practice those skills in a structured home while remaining responsible for their own progress.
Our program is designed to meet residents where they are while encouraging forward movement. Support and guidance are available, but residents are also expected to participate, contribute to the household, and take increasing ownership of their recovery.
The Foundation Behind Our Program
Structured LivingA dependable home environment gives residents a framework for organizing recovery alongside work, treatment, meetings, and everyday responsibilities.
Meaningful AccountabilityResidents are encouraged to follow through on their commitments and understand how their choices contribute to the progress they are making.
Recovery-Focused CommunityLiving alongside other men in recovery creates opportunities for honest conversations, encouragement, and connection with people who understand the process.
Growth Through IndependenceResidents gradually take greater responsibility for their routines and decisions, helping them become more prepared for life beyond sober living.
A Different Setting for Recovery
The environment around you can make certain habits feel familiar and automatic. Returning to the same places, routines, or social influences connected to substance use may make it harder to establish something different.
A sober living home changes that daily experience. Residents return to a place where sobriety is shared, expectations are understood, and healthier routines are part of the household environment.
For men from La Puente, Design for Recovery can provide that change in setting while allowing them to remain connected to the people, work, treatment, and responsibilities that matter to them.
