Founder, Design for Recovery Sober Living Homes

Recovery Mentor & Life Coach for Young Men

David Beasley is the founder of Design for Recovery Sober Living Homes in Los Angeles, where his work is rooted in a simple conviction: people deserve the opportunity to begin again. From the start, he set out to build more than just a place to stay, he envisioned a structured, values-driven environment where men could rebuild their lives with honesty, responsibility, and consistency at the center.

Originally from North Carolina, David came to California after several unsuccessful attempts to get sober, determined to try something different. In an all-male sober living home, he discovered a talent for leadership and mentorship, finding purpose in supporting others who were going through the same struggles he knew so well. That experience shaped the blueprint for Design for Recovery and deepened his belief that recovery is not only about putting down substances, but also about changing patterns, healing underlying issues, and learning how to live differently.

With a background working in the treatment field, David saw a real need for sober living homes that put ethics, structure, and genuine care first. At Design for Recovery, he combines sober housing with mentorship and practical life guidance, helping residents develop the tools they need to move forward with confidence and direction. David remains closely involved in the day-to-day life of the homes, continuing to mentor young men and walking alongside them as they build a future grounded in purpose, growth, and long-term recovery.
